I think it could have quite a few applications for the foreign language classroom, and that it has the potential to help students learn language authentically. You can register to be part of the community, "meet" people who speak the language that you're learning (or teaching), participate in an online exchange in which you communicate with native speakers...the possibilities are pretty endless, actually. :)
